Here at Raceonly we are always looking for ways to make it easier and more cost effective to modify your car. Most people who are trying to make more power out of there rotary will quickly hit the limit of the factory charging system. Why you might ask?
The answer is simple. To make more power you need more ignition, more fuel pump, you will quickly use up all the current available from your OEM alternator. In most cases for rotary powered cars they are already borderline from Factory. If you add things like electric water pump or electric fans then you are going to need a substantial upgrades. 120AMPs isn’t going to cut it, hell even 150AMP barely cut its these days. Why do things in halves right? . You should see a healthy 14.4-14.8V when the car is HOT (Fully heatsoaked). Any less then this and all your accessories are working slower then they should be.
Our Billet Alternator’s is 100% bolt on for a S4/5 RX7 and wiring can be adopted to most configurations.
The only thing left to choose is your pulley, to ensure we provide the best range of charging we optimise our output curve for your usable rpm.
We have a 9000rpm pulley and a 10000rpm pulley. Anyone with a Street ported engine should get the 9000, Bridgeport or higher I recommend the 10000rpm pulley.
